Lucy was another dog abandoned up on the Brecon Beacons. This poor girl had been dumped in terrible condition. She had recently had puppies and her poor body was very damaged. She was full of milk, so much so that she had mastitis and a dangerously high temperature. The vets didn’t know how she had managed to stay alive in such a terrible way.  Once she had recovered enough to travel over to us from Wales, our vets discovered she had a serious and rare congenital heart condition. She will need major surgery to extend her healthy life. 

Lucy is another dog that has struggled to find anyone to take her on – especially with her health conditions – so she is staying at the kennels, at least for now. 

This lovely young lady is a special soul – the staff at the kennels and our vets are very fond of her. She turns on the charm and makes everyone she meets into a Lucy lover. Her wonderful bat ears are so expressive and she is starting to gain trust in humans, although she’s still shy with strangers to start with. 

This dog is still available for adoption. If adopted, we will contact you so you can switch to a different sponsor dog should you wish to.
