Background –
Oreo was originally adopted out by us as in 2021 to an adult only home, but his adoptive family recently returned him when he struggled with having a toddler in the house.
Character –
Oreo is nervous around strangers but is working on this with his lovely foster carers, when he warms up he enjoys a good bum or ear scratch! He is very lovable and loyal so would make a very loving companion. His foster carers also say “He’s the most loving boy and a dream in the house. He’s a clever boy and has learnt a few tricks, plus his basic commands in a short time.”
Outside of the home –
Due to Oreos nervousness he doesn’t like to be walked in busy areas. He is slowly being exposed to new things but he requires a lot of reassurance and doesn’t like to be ‘surprised’ by anyone/anything. Oreo loves a countryside or beach walk so its a good thing he travels well!
Type of home –
He is looking for an experienced home that understands his needs and is willing to be patient with him as he navigates the world around him. Oreo is generally very friendly towards people when he warms up to them (he can be shy to start with). Oreo would be best suited to an adult only home but we think he could live with sensible, calm teens as well.
Adopting –
Oreo is back in kennels again as his temporary foster carers have now gone away, so he is located near Wells.
