Background –
Oreo was originally adopted out by us as in 2021 to an adult only home, but his adoptive family recently returned him when he struggled with having a toddler in the house.
Character –
Oreo can be nervous around strangers but is working on this with his lovely foster carers, when he warms up he can be very affectionate! He is very lovable and loyal so would make a very loving companion. Oreo is quite happy being a work from home companion, spending his days sleeping or pottering in the garden.
His foster carers have said “He’s the most loving boy and a dream in the house. He’s a clever boy and has learnt a few tricks, plus his basic commands in a short time.”
Outside of the home –
Due to Oreos nervousness he doesn’t like to be walked in busy areas. He is slowly being exposed to new things but he requires a lot of reassurance and doesn’t like to be ‘surprised’ by anyone/anything. Oreo loves a countryside or beach walk so its a good thing he travels well in the car!
Type of home –
Oreo is looking for an experienced home that understands his needs and is willing to be patient with him as he navigates the world around him. Oreo is generally very friendly towards people when he warms up to them (he can be shy to start with). Oreo would be best suited to an adult only home but we think he could live with sensible, calm teens as well.
Adopting –
Oreo is back in kennels again as his temporary foster carers have now gone away, so he is located near Wells.
