Background

Simon was found as a stray so we don’t have any history on him.

Character

Simon is a small/medium size boy (11k). He is very intelligent and lively with a big personality but also has a soft cuddly side.

Simon is very friendly and appears to be confident, but due to so much upheaval in his young life, it will take time for him to settle and fully trust in his new home. Simon will try to push the boundaries and can sometimes nip, but with clear guidance and a lot of patience and understanding, he will learn to be a good boy.

Once settled Simon loves nothing more than a good snuggle on the sofa! He has lived with a small dog in his foster home and was very friendly and respectful with her. On walks, Simon enjoys meeting other dogs but can be very vocal, although not aggressive, and some dogs can find this intimidating. This is probably due to a lack of socialisation in his early life. He loves nothing more than a game of chase and a good wrestle with like-minded dogs.

Simon travels well in the car and is used to spending short periods of time on his own. Simon will need an experienced home dedicated to working with him to overcome his challenges.

Type of home

Simon would be best suited to younger, active adult home. Simon loves everyone but would probably be too excitable to live with children. He will  need someone home for most of the time as he loves lots of interaction with his people. A secure garden is a must. Simon can not live with cats or small furries. He could live with or without another friendly dog. Simon would benefit from further training,  which he enjoys as he’ll do anything for a treat?

Adopting

Simon is a resident at our Kennels in Wells and applicants would need to come and meet him here.
